#31 Flip the switch: Save energy by turning off the air conditioning/heat, lights, and TV when you leave your hotel room—whether it’s for the afternoon or when you are checking out.

To help control temperature without touching the thermostat: close your curtains in the summer to keep out the heat of the sun; open them in winter to allow warmth into your room.

Excellent and just this semester our college is using these and others to conserve energy, especially to save money in this low budget year. We turn off everythig electric and unplug equipment. Our energy specialists check each day and a write-up is posted in our department of any violation.
