#10 Muscle-powered vacations: There are few better ways to truly experience a town or city by walking or biking when visiting.

The opportunities to see more detail and talk to more people are simply greater. Also, consider that for each mile you don’t drive you keep almost a pound of CO2 out of the atmosphere, and for each mile you walk you burn an additional 100 calories – that adds up to that much more local food you can “experience.”
